In this basketball season my point guard mentality says that the best contribution a municipal legislator may make is to pass the ball to someone who may in turn help him/herself to an even better opportunity. I’ve helped 5 Atlanta radio stations over 20 years serve the people of our city. I’ve helped over 100 ministries increase their outreach and change the world. I’ve helped register over 1,000 voters in my community to vote (many for the first time) in the 2008 presidential election as a team leader of the ‘West End Warriors’, a mighty volunteer army for political change.

Now, I wish to help the 50,000 people of the 4th Atlanta City Council District save their homes while welcoming new homeowners to Atlanta’s future #1 intown housing destination. I want to help workers find jobs and retrain themselves for the workplace, particularly in the area of technology. I will attract quality new businesses and jobs to our district. I will work to enlist more comprehensive efforts which will unify our community and produce public safety in a neighborly fashion.
The 4th district is a special place, a place that is filled with a great history and honor. With hard work and passion, we can turn things around in this district. The issues that plague this district demand competent and empathetic leadership. Therefore, consider the following issues which demand better leadership from the 4th District City Councilman for the people of the West End, Pittsburgh, Mechanicsville, Mozley and Adair Parks:

Economic Development
• We need a strong advocate for more jobs and job training for 4th District residents.
• We must win more business investment resulting in more jobs and professional services for 4th District residents.

Public Safety
• I wish to work on behalf of all 4th District families for safer streets and homes by increasing personnel and eventually opening additional precincts in our communities.

Taking Our Homes Back
• I will champion a comprehensive Housing Agenda to turn back the increasing number of foreclosed and abandoned residential real estate properties; develop stronger relationships for homebuyers with community banks; attract more commercial real estate development and stimulate more residential real estate purchases. I will work to help protect longtime residents from dramatic property tax increases while providing stronger
and more aggressive legislation to transition any and all from homelessness.

Please help me give the people of the 4th District in the City of Atlanta a better voice in city government. Help me to increase citizen participation in government. Help me to revive the interest and participation of all in local politics. Help put me in position to receive and represent the opinions and ideas of the people of the 4th District in City Hall.

I need your prayers and financial contributions.
